Fun Local Events This September!

Here are a few fun local September events for the entire family, from your friends at Old Point Mortgage!
Sept. 2nd, 6pm-9pm, Riverwalk Landing, Yorktown
Bring a picnic supper, chair or blanket, and enjoy a symphony performance under a canopy of stars. Pre-concert performance at 6pm by the Fifes and Drums of Yorktown.
Sept. 9th, 10am-6pm, Buckroe Beach, Hampton
The 7th Annual Buckroe Beach Arts In The Park will feature over 70 vendors in front of the large Buckroe Beach pavilion. Kids can enjoy face painting and free games too!
Sept. 9th-10th, 11am-9pm, Langley Speedway, Hampton
This family-oriented festival will include music, food, fun, crafts, and Chesapeake Bay educational displays with a wide range of entertainment and learning opportunities.
Sept. 16th, 10am, Old Courthouse Way, Newport News
The parade begins at 10am, followed by an all-day festival featuring live music, local foods, vendors, and exhibits.
Sept. 23rd, 12pm-8pm, Town Point Park, Norfolk
Come celebrate what's below the Mason-Dixon along the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront! This annual event brings the best of southern food to Town Point Park. Try a variety of Made In Virginia bbq sauces on your favorite ribs, pulled pork, or brisket.
Sept. 23rd – 24th, 6pm, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg
Howl-O-Scream begins September 23rd and continues every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and select Thursdays, through October 29th. Come see a collection of haunted houses, immersive themed Terror-tories™ and darkly entertaining live shows.
Sept. 30th, 10am, Virginia Beach Convention Center, Virginia Beach
Come see model trains of all scales and gauges, including Lego Trains. Bring your old train for a free check up by Train Doctors. Free for children 12 and under with a paying adult. Admission proceeds go to Toys For Tots.
