What do I need to know about accessing my accounts when Old Point becomes TowneBank?

In the weeks leading up to February 9, 2026, you will continue to bank as usual at Old Point's 13 branch locations with the bankers you know. After this date, you can begin to visit any TowneBank location for your banking needs. In some cases, if an Old Point branch is near an existing TowneBank location, they will consolidate into one. You can find the transition list for Old Point locations here

ATM Maintenance to install new machines at certain Old Point locations will begin the week of February 2, 2026. ATMs at Downtown Hampton, Executive Tower and Woodland Road branches in Hampton and at the Professional Park branch in Newport News will be offline for one day between February 2-5, while they are updated. Please note that MoneyPass ATM network access will end on Friday, February 6, 2026.

We invite you to review the Online Transition Guide at TowneBank.com to learn more about what to expect with this transition.

Why has Old Point affiliated with TowneBank?

Old Point National Bank has entered into this relationship with TowneBank to create a stronger community bank with deep roots in the Hampton Roads area. For you, it means the same relationship-based banking delivered with a personal touch, but with greater technical, financial, and geographical capability.

  • Together, we can better meet the growing technology needs that customers want to access their accounts.
  • We will be able to handle larger loan requests and deposit relationships.

You have our promise that we will do everything we can to make the transition as seamless as possible. We look forward to a bright future where we can provide even more resources to meet your financial needs as a part of TowneBank.
